One day ATP CPD
ATP Scotland annual CPD day Saturday 29th February 2020, Perth
Calling all ATPS members - let’s get together in the early days of the new decade! We’ll make the most of the extra day thanks to 2020 being a Leap Year.
29th February is the new date for our CPD event that was postponed from September 2019. We wanted to allow time for reflection on the 2019 NQ results, and to obtain feedback from SQA in the form of Course Reports and the Understanding Standards events in November, which many ATPS members attended. Let’s now share that feedback and our experiences of the first year of the new Higher in particular, and consider implications for future delivery of our psychology courses. As for the new National 5 which started a year earlier, with that additional experience we will have ideas and tips to share now that the course is (hopefully) ‘bedded in’.
The programme for our CPD day will, as always, be teacher-led, and will include a keynote speaker, updates and workshops, with plenty of opportunities for discussion. Delegate feedback year on year tells us that this annual event provides excellent subject-specific CPD. Programme details will be available soon, and will include participation by BPS Scotland once again.
We’ll be at the A.K. Bell library in Perth again. The delegate fee has been increased slightly due to rising costs, however it is still very good value at £50, including buffet lunch and refreshments. There is a reduced fee of £15 for students / student teachers (contact Morag at email@example.com for details – don’t use the Paypal button below).
Why not book your place now! Also, share the info with your colleagues – there are still some psychology teachers out there who don’t know about the ATP/ATPS and the support and CPD opportunities we offer! You need to be an ATP / ATPS member to take part. If you're not already a member, join here.
